It's clear. Our mission is "To Save Teens from D.E.A.T.H Caused by Gun Violence."
We are equally committed to steering them away from joining groups that have a culture of violence (i.e., gangs).
Ultimately, our goal is to develop 'Hip Hop Glamm Geniuses,' teenagers who turn their trauma into treasure and become the future leaders of their generation.
Are rooted in:
1.) Four Pillars of Hip-Hop Culture.
2.) Hip Hop Glamm Therapy & Techniques.
3.) Non-violent Hip-Hop Culture
4.) Hip Hop Glamm Genius
Hip Hop Glamm's accomplishments are not measured solely by the number of teens that cross our platform but are determined by their individual growth.
The first area of growth witnessed in teens after an initial encounter with our Hip Hop Glamm Therapy & Techniques is them taking responsibility for their healing.
Secondly, they start to gain interest again in academic goals. Many go from wanting to drop out of high school to striving for graduation.
Other areas of growth within the stages of our Hip Hop Glamm Therapy & Techniques lie in improvements in teens' emotional, mental, physical, and relational health, which is our long-term goal.
Your generous donation of any amount helps us reach our annual project and program goals and helps us further our research on Hip Hop Glamm Therapy and Techniques (HHG T&T) to improve our services committed to "Save Teens from D.E.A.T.H caused by Gun Violence."
"Hip Hop Glamm was founded from a deeply personal tragedy - the loss of our beloved little brother, Tracy, to gun violence in 2013. The case details are sensitive, and we plan to share our story in more detail with our supporters along the journey. When Tracy died, our family felt D.E.A.T.H inside, which is an acronym for despair, emptiness, anger, timidness, and heartbreak.
Because of this heart-wrenching experience, our commitment to saving young lives from the clutches of violence was ignited. Additionally, as siblings, along with Tracy, we loved all aspects of hip-hop culture. So, we decided to use hip-hop culture as a fundamental part of our initiative: "Saving Teens from Gun Violence with Non-Violent Hip-Hop Culture."
Despite our grief & limited resources, we hosted the first annual Hip Hop Glamm Red Carpet Showcase in Dallas, Texas, during the same year of our tragic loss. This event, which brought together hip-hop lovers from all walks of life, was a significant step towards our goal of stopping gun violence and increasing peace for the next generation. It was a testament to the power of community and the potential of hip-hop culture to effect positive change.
Our events were not just successful, they were a resounding triumph. Marked by the absence of violence or disturbance of peace within the community, they inspired the hip-hop community to grow in knowledge as entrepreneurs, build networks, and expand their horizons in a culture of non-violence.
Over the past 11 years our vision has evolved and become more targeted to a teen demographic. This growth is a response to the data that shows youth in marginalized communities have a higher likelihood of joining a gang to overcome economic barriers and being bullied. Unfortunately, once they decide to join a gang, they adopt a culture of violence that leads to injury, incarceration, or death by gun violence.
Although the motive behind our brother's death was not wholly revealed during the trial. Our family has reason to believe it was motivated by retaliation. Today, Hip Hop Glamm's reason for existence is to help teens and parents who love them avoid a premature loss of life.
